Fatos Xhafa is an Informatics Engineer Doctor (1998) for the "Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya" (UPC).
He currently holds the University professor's place in the Department of Computer Science (UPC). He has also been a visiting professor at the Birbeck College of the University of London (2009/2010). His teaching experience includes undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He has supervised students of all levels: degree, postgraduate and doctorate. His interests in research focus on the field of Big Data, Cloud Computing, IoT and optimization.
